It must be running on the computer on which you watch Netflix and is needed for the Remote app to work. Remote works to control Netflix on PC or Mac. If you want to watch Netflix on an iPad, Android tablet, Windows Surface RT, Xbox, Wii console, or Linux this app will not work.
